Meet the Jaguar F-Type SVR: It’s the fastest consumer car that Jaguar has ever built, with the ability to reach 200 miles per hour.
Now the convertible model tops out a bit slower, only able to go 195 miles per hour — you know, just in case you just wanted to put the top down and have your face melt away behind you or something like that — but needless to say these cars are fast.
It takes this car 3.5 seconds to go from zero to 60. Packed under the hood, the speedster has a 5.0-liter V-8 and 575 horses running wild under that thing.
Jaguar has made one or two cars a bit faster in the past, for instance their XJ220 went up to 212 miles per hour, but they weren’t produced in large numbers.
The F-Type SVR will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show beginning March 1, though you won’t be able to purchase it until 2017. Oh, yeah, it also comes with a pretty hefty base price of $126,000.
It’s not the worst thing we’ve ever seen, now we’ve just got to get some cash!
