Christmas is weird in Australia. First of all, it’s the middle of summer and second of all, apparently people find things like snakes hiding in their Christmas trees.
According to the BBC, a woman called authorities for help to remove a meter long venomous Tiger snake that was curled around her Christmas tree.
Being Australia, the local snake catcher was called to the scene where he assessed the woman to have “reacted quite well” by saying, “she left the room, put a towel down as a door jam and came and rang me.”
The snake catcher, whose name is Barry Goldsmith has found snakes in all sorts of weird places including Ugg boots, toilets and now apparently a Christmas tree.
The snake has since been released back into the wild where it may or may not find a new tree to hang out in.
